WBUR. Arlekin Players’ ‘The Dybbuk’ is a layered story of star-crossed love.

The Dybbuk is a story of star-crossed lovers who seem to occupy various levels of life, death and the netherworld. It is a busy and physically demanding work that starts with the ominous, distant sound of dripping water, followed by electric flashes of light and a sonic cacophony.

The Theater Mirror. A Deeply Moving, Hauntingly Beautiful “Dybbuk”.

From beginning to end, this production is marvelous. The multi-leveled set, designed by Igor Golyak and Sasha Kuznetsova, allows the actors ample room to actively pursue one another, beseech their Maker, disrupt a wedding, and dance, depending on the scene.
