Stay at home orders have led to feelings of loneliness and isolation, especially among the vulnerable populations. Arlekin\u2019s virtual stage initiative aims to build an increased connection with the community and decrease feelings of isolation now and in the future by providing a virtual platform for our artistic endeavors. To be able to do this, we have started a campaign to raise funds for the much needed technology to be able to produce virtual theater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.arlekinplayers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Copy-of-Untitled-2.00_40_29_22.Still025-1-e1605891326724-1024x771.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9467\" width=\"304\" height=\"228\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-medium-font-size\">It all began in May with a live online run of <em>State vs. Natasha Banina<\/em>, which received overwhelming audience responses and raves from Boston critics; it was then chosen as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/06\/17\/theater\/review-state-vs-natasha-banina.html\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/06\/17\/theater\/review-state-vs-natasha-banina.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">New York Times Critic\u2019s Pick<\/a>, alongside coverage in <a href=\"http:\/\/twi-ny.com\/blog\/2020\/06\/21\/state-vs-natasha-banina\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"http:\/\/twi-ny.com\/blog\/2020\/06\/21\/state-vs-natasha-banina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Time Out<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vulture.com\/2020\/07\/theater-review-state-vs-natasha-banina-zero-cost-house.html\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.vulture.com\/2020\/07\/theater-review-state-vs-natasha-banina-zero-cost-house.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">New York Magazine<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arlekinplayers.com\/news-room-reviews\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.arlekinplayers.com\/news-room-reviews\/\">many others<\/a>. The piece went viral, with audiences tuning in from 40 states and 16 countries &#8212; among them, artistic directors, higher ed program leaders, and major artists from across the world. Through a series of eight free performances over three months, Natasha was shared with nearly 1,500 people around the world.
